Too all members, and the test group especially.

Dear members,

As you know from reading yesterday's newsletter, MSure 0.7.5 has been released. What I didn't write in the newsletter was that this version would become the first freely available version for download. This is now in effect.

I would like to extend my thanks to all those who have had the patience to help make MSure into what it now is, with hopes that you will all continue to provide the much appreciated and valued feedback. Without it, MSure would not be anywhere close to what it now has become.

The development of MSure will continue, but with a few changes in the development cycle. As MSure has become a much larger project than I first anticipated, every change requires a lot more effort and thought as it is becoming increasingly easy to break things inadvertently as the project, and thus the complexity, grows.

New, and changes to existing features will therefore be given more thought, and I hope to continue receive feedback from the community in this. Each new feature and release will be more tightly managed in terms of specified functionality and expected results.

Test version will likely be released as earlier, but they will not be freely available as that would be counterproductive - normal uses should not exposed to experiments!

I feel that this is all necessary in order to prevent a degradation of MSure; I've seen too many applications start out good, but then end in a total mess due to lack of will to properly manage the project. With all the work I have put into MSure, I do not want this to happen to. Yes, it will reduce the amount of time available for the development itself, but in the end I believe it will also gain me time, and since that is the only resource I have - my spare time - it must be properly spent.

Regards,
